NVRC continues to see reports from individuals whose call through relay services to Wells Fargo or Wachovia for information or a transaction were refused. They have also reported being told to use the bank’s TTY number instead.
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo in August 2009 on this issue. You can read about it at http://www.nad.org/node/433.
If you’ve had this problem with Wells Fargo or Wachovia, please tell NAD about it. Use their online e-mail contact page at http://www.nad.org/forms/contact-nad.
Filling out the online form there is easy. Select ‘Law & Advocacy’ as your Area of Interest, tell your experience with Wells Fargo or Wachovia in the Question or Comment area, and then provide contact information so the NAD can get in touch with you.
