DEAF & HARD OF HEARING AWARENESS DAY

Kings Dominion invites you to be a part of our Deaf & Hard of Hearing Awareness Day on Saturday, June 2, 2012.  Special events have been planned for the deaf and hard of hearing, their families and friends.  Spectacular entertainment, educational exhibits and interpreters for many of the Park’s shows and services will make this a memorable day for all.

Performing Groups

Performances on the International Street Grande Bandstand by a variety of area groups, especially for our deaf and hard of hearing guests.Interested in performing? Download our 2012 Performer Application

Educational Exhibits

Kings Dominion will be hosting exhibits dedicated to improving services for the deaf and hard of hearing.  Exhibits will be located at the base of the Eiffel Tower on International Street.

Assisted Listening Devices

Assisted listening devices are available at the Kings Dominion Theater and the PEANUTS Showplace. Please speak with an usher to receive one of these devices.

Interpreters

Sign language interpreters will be available throughout the day. Look for interpreters stationed at the Group Admissions Office, Guest Services (located to the right of the front gate), First Aid, Joe Cool’s Driving School, and WaterWorks First Aid Locations.
Interpreters will wear special t-shirts for easy identification. Please feel free to stop an interpreter to ask questions or request assistance.
