I’ve (Rachel Bavister) been involved in CAP (Child Assault Prevention) for quite a while and VSDB (VA School for the Deaf and the Blind) CAP program recently won a grant to let us expand. We are looking for Deaf/HH volunteers from across the Commonwealth, especially from Northern VA and Tidewater as we will be presenting in Arlington and Warren Counties very soon, then probably in Tidewater. Volunteers must attend training (expenses paid) some time in the new year, and undergo a background check. One doesn’t have to live in Tidewater and NVA to be a volunteer; the more folk we train, the better.
