DHHSC is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1995 for the purpose of education and providing information to our communities. We are governed by a board of directors with representatives from the deaf and hard of hearing communities.
Since its beginning, DHHSC has been given the opportunity to work with state agencies through contracts to provide certain types of services. Our main contract is with the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to provide outreach services.
As a small, non-profit organization, we depend on interested people who give of their time and resources to help keep our services going. If you are interested in helping, please contact us. Our ultimate goal is the creation of a community center that can serve the needs of all of our communities.
